Corporate Philosophy
Creating “Excitement“ and “Fun“
It’s not about working hard because you’re being paid, but about doing work that makes you feel excited.
It’s about not letting something boring remain boring, but seriously pursuing something that’s interesting.
The happiness that results from this becomes a contribution to society, and leads to the joy and inspiration of our customers.
The name of Fun Sense is imbued with this idea of “enjoying work”.
Even in difficult, frustrating or painful times, we always face them with a smile and a calm attitude.
Even when we think there is nothing we can do, we try to take one more step forward.
The most enjoyable (fun) work is always at the end of our efforts to improve our knowledge, experience and skills (sense).
Greetings from the President
My name is Sugimoto, and I am the CEO of Fun Sense, Inc.
Thank you for visiting our website from among the many others available.
When I was a university student, I visited over 40 countries on six continents.
Overseas, I saw things that I had never been taught in school, things that were different from what I had been taught, and things that did not fit into the Japanese concept of “common sense”.
At the same time, I also learned that, despite the differences in country and language, many people around the world have the same dreams as we do.
I still remember clearly the moment when I decided in my heart that I wanted to “do business that would bring the world together and convey the wonders of the world!
In response to recent internationalization, we have actively formed business partnerships with overseas companies that handle interesting ideas and products from around the world, and have created a system that allows us to distribute them.
Our goal is to become a system that connects Japan and the rest of the world, eliminating the barriers of national borders and providing our customers with a smoother service, and to become the top company in our field.
In a society where everything is becoming more convenient every day, it seems that distribution between Japan and other countries is already complete. However, I often feel that there are many wonderful ideas that are born around the world that are not being shared, and that there are many things that are not being communicated, and I always feel that this is a waste. At the same time, I know that there are many wonderful things in Japan too, and I feel frustrated that these things are not being shared. The idea of establishing a company came from the thought that it would be fun to live if we could revitalize the social economy by introducing good things from overseas to Japan, introducing good things from Japan to overseas, and creating interesting things ourselves and spreading them around the world.
After the company was established, we had a series of failures and struggles.
We had sales contracts unilaterally terminated, we were clearly and blatantly harassed, and there was even a time when all the employees quit at the same time because the company was no longer running.
Even so, I somehow managed to hang on, determined to never give up on the beliefs I had, and gradually we were blessed with wonderful members and corporate partners, and our business results continued to steadily grow.
From now on, I want to continue to enjoy life to the fullest while taking on various challenges with the aim of creating systems that are useful to people.
I moved from the UK to Canada, and then to Hawaii, where I found my life’s base at the age of 24. I want to continue to grow both as an individual and as a team, never forgetting the original aspirations I had as a university student, when I vowed to become a person who would play an active role in the world.
It’s normal for things not to go well, and we often regret the choices we make, but we promise to work hard every day to gradually increase the things we can contribute to the world, and to spread the “exciting” and “interesting” things we have created.
Please continue to support Fun Sense, Inc. in the future.
